Catch23 - Improv Comedy Showdown - Aug 5th

Catch 23 - the fastest twenty-three minutes of your life - three freaking times!

Three teams of improvisers fight the hell out of each other using God's intended weapons of wit and dick-jokes.

They each have twenty-three minutes to pull their best improv out of the bag and onto the stage, where it is voted on by you! The audience! Totally unfairly!

Toronto's favourite impro competition, created by the wonderful Kurt Smeaton - comes to London for the first time. Cast so far: Dylan Emery, Paul Foxcroft. More will come.

It's the three things that matter most to you - democracy, comedy, and beer, all in one night. What's not to like?

To reserve tickets, email tickets@grandtheftimpro.com

Location: Upstairs at the Wheatsheaf, 25 Rathbone Place, nr Tottenham Court road tube
Date: Thursday, August 5, 2010
Time: 8:30pm-10:30pm

The interpretation of dreams

A dream is a succession of thoughts, images, sounds or emotions which the mind experiences during sleep:

- There's a corridor that is growing longer and longer, and I'm running and running to arrive in class on time, but the corridor keeps growing...

- My cat is sleeping on my lap as I sit on the sofa, watching my brother's birthday celebration on Channel 5. Everyone is wearing fox masks so I can't see which one is my brother, and then I realise that my cat has turned into a fox...

The content and purpose of dreams are not fully understood, though they have been a topic of speculation and interest throughout recorded history. The interpretation of dreams has always been a favourite for cranks, self-righteous alternative brigades and megalomaniacs. Friendly Fire (the people who bought you D.I.Y. Avant Garde) had to do something about it.
